After a career spanning over 40 years in studio and advertising photography, John can be forgiven for taking time out from his usual commissioned work to indulge himself in producing this collection of Erotic images.

The work, which was all shot in his studio, was soon recognised to be significant and earned him a reputation in the field of Erotic photography.

Chilton manages to make sex look sinister and inviting at the same time. His blacks are dark, rich and shiny as patent leather, and his whites like smears of semen across the surface - and I mean this in the best way. I loved his atmospheric photos on first sight and only wish we could have some of his male nudes as well.
